Covid-19
Please continue to refer back to this page for the club's latest information on club membership renewals and returning to netball.
Updated information:
What to do it you are a close contact of someone who tests positive:
Please inform your coach immediately if you test positive. Coaches will then inform anyone who played/trained at the same session.
EN guidelines are that close contacts must get a PCR test asap.
Even though players U18 or fully vaccinated do not need to self isolate, they can only return to netball once they have a negative result.
Anyone not vaccinated should isolate for 10 days or until they have a negative PCR.
If a player does not want to have PCR, they must isolate for 10 days from the contact before returning to netball.
If you have any questions or concerns about netball and Covid, please contact Lynne Goodwyn (Club Lead Covid Officer) at lynnecsnc@gmail.com

4. Personal Risk Assessment for Covid-19:
Please remember Covid is still with us!
Players should assess their own risk of playing netball, including their risk of returning to play, risk of injury and risk of transmitting Covid to other players.
Please DO NOT ATTEND training or a match if you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19, even if they are mild:
a high temperature.
a new, continuous cough.
a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
If you have been told you are a close contact of someone testing positive to Covid, please follow government guidelines:
If someone you live with has symptoms of COVID-19, or has tested positive for COVID-19, you will not need to self-isolate if any of the following apply:
you're fully vaccinated – this means 14 days have passed since your final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine given by the NHS
you're under 18 years, 6 months old
you're taking part or have taken part in a COVID-19 vaccine trial
you're not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons
Even if you do not have symptoms, you should still:
get a PCR test on GOV.UK to check if you have COVID-19
follow advice on how to avoid catching and spreading COVID-19
consider limiting contact with people who are at higher risk from COVID-19
We encourage all members to carry out twice weekly Lateral Flow Tests in accordance with EN guidelines.
Returning to play
If you are worried about the return to competition netball or training please speak to your coach or Covid Officer. All conversations will be held in confidence.
Please read EN’s guidance on opting in to play. This season we do not require a signed opt-in form as by signing up to Engage, you have effectively opted in for you/your daughter.
Rules of Play
Although normal netball rules are back, we will adhere to our venue guidelines on social distancing and wearing masks inside buildings. Also, some Covid regulations will remain:
No hand shakes.
No High Fives.
Nail checks at 2m distance.
Posts and balls wiped at the beginning, during (after each quarter) and end of each session/match.
Hands sanitised.
First aid kits will include gloves and masks.
Covid regulations still in place
Posts and balls to be sanitised before, during (after each quarter) and after matches and training sessions.
Players to continue with hand sanitising.
A list of attendees to be kept for test & trace purposes and in accordance with GDPR.
Venue guidelines to be followed with regard to toilet use, one way systems and mask wearing indoors.
Players to maintain social distancing off court.
Spectators welcome, but must follow venue guidelines and maintain social distancing.
Travel
Please follow government guidelines of lift-sharing and travel to netball:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-safer-travel-guidance-for-passengers
Attendance and Test & Trace
CSNC records attendance via SPOND. By signing up to SPOND members have agreed to this. If a player does not attend, this status can be changed by the session organiser. We also have contact details on Engage and it is vital that contact details are up to date.
Netball and the modified rules have been effective in keeping netball safe. In order to record this, EN requires us to report 2 or more positive cases in a 14 day period.
If a player develops symptoms and/or tests positive to Covid they must inform their coach or contact the lead covid officer, Lynne Goodwyn
Covid Symptoms
If a player arrives displaying symptoms of Covid they will be asked to leave.
If an U18 is displaying symptoms on arrival, their guardian will be contacted and must come to the court to collect them.
Anyone in breach of regulations will be spoken to by the club chair. Persistent breaches may result in removal from play/training.
